Author Guidelines
Authors should only submit manuscripts that have been carefully proofread and polished. Manuscripts must be original and unpublished, or an extended version of previously published work (with proper citation and permission). If the work is sponsored, ensure it has been authorized for public release. Before submission, ensure that your paper is written using the Awula Journal template (MS Word) and follows the formatting and writing style of this journal.
1. General Requirements
- The manuscript must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
- Length: minimum 6 pages, maximum 20 pages. Additional pages may be evaluated by editors.
- Use a reference manager such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
- The manuscript must use the Awula Journal template.
2. Manuscript Structure
Title
Title should be concise, without acronyms or abbreviations, and no more than 15 words.
Abstract
The abstract should be a single paragraph with a maximum of 250 words, summarizing the main objective, methodology, key results, and conclusions. No citations. Provide 3–5 keywords below the abstract.
Introduction
- Background: Describe the context and current state of the field.
- Problem: State the problem being addressed.
- Proposed Solution: Highlight the novelty and contribution of the work. Provide a gap analysis and include at least 5 recent journal references.
Methodology
Clearly explain the community engagement methods, location, partners, duration, procedures, and evaluation instruments to ensure reproducibility.
Results and Discussion
Present key findings clearly and logically. Avoid repeating data in both tables and figures. Support with appropriate references and comparisons with prior work.
Conclusion
Summarize the main outcomes of the project. Discuss implications and relevance to community needs, and how it advances knowledge or practice.
References
Use at least 25 references, mainly from journals. Follow IEEE citation style. Avoid unreliable web sources.
3. Author Information
Designate one author as the corresponding author with:
- Email address
4. Figures and Tables
Figures:
- Number figures in the order they appear (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.).
- Each figure must have a caption below it, starting with the figure number.
- Figures taken from other sources must be properly cited.
Tables:
- Tables must be numbered in the order they appear (Table 1, Table 2, etc.).
- Include a caption above the table.
- Each column must have a clear heading.
- Use horizontal lines only above the heading, below the heading, and at the end of the table.
- Tables from other sources must be cited properly.
5. Language Quality
Manuscripts with serious grammar or spelling issues will be returned. Authors must proofread their articles before submission.
6. Copyright Notice
Authors publishing in Awula: Jurnal Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat Bidang Ekonomi & Bisnis agree to the following:
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal first publication rights.
- The article is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
- Authors can archive the published version in repositories or websites with proper acknowledgment.
- Authors are encouraged to share their work online during and after the review process to increase visibility and citation.
7. Privacy Statement
The names and email addresses entered in this journal website will be used exclusively for the stated purposes and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
